I am looking for a new surfboard option.

I was riding an old epoxy tuff lite, that I had straps added to. It was awesome!

I could take the straps off and paddle surf it, then strap it up and kite surf it.

The only problem was every now and then I would snap it in half... I am tired of getting it repaired. I really need a board to paddle surf and kite surf, as me and my wife work and kite out of a VW transporter. With 2 twintips 4 kites and 2 surfboards, we really need one of them to be a hybrid due to space requirements.

I was thinking of a f-one Signitaure 5/8 or 6/0, mainly cause of the bamboo, or a custom jobbie.. but was wondering if anyone had any better ideas

I was writing about these the other day. My mate sells them. He has carbon fibre and bamboo deck ones.

Here's his foot straps demo vid. (posted in other thread the other day)

The Fone board doesn't have a lot of volume so would be hard to paddle in unless you are tiny. It is also a very kite specific board with regards to shape, concave bottom etc. I have seen some people getting custom firewire boards that can do the job for both, but then just about any short board you can paddle in will be ok to kite on. Some of the Slingshot boards can apparently be paddled in but would be hard work IMO.

^^Those boards look good, the carbon one looks stealth. I like the foot strap system, quick and easy

yeah, I am pretty small. about 65kg but I agree the f-one is probally too low volume.

I love the look of the advection board, what do the straps feel like? are they comfy?

... thanks guys
