Anyone owned or tested both lithium and pivot? I feel they are very similar kites. Low end, 3 struts, good for freeride wave and Jump, enaugh quick turning...so wich are the difference?

A whole day and still no replies. That's unusual.
For no reason other than personal preference , Lithium all the way.

Will buy a 10M. Both models 2018, both between 35-40% discount

Pro Lithium:
- i have the whole set 7m 2015 14m 2017 17m 2016
- have the lithium smartbar, 45- 52- 55-62cm
- little more low end i think, i' m heavy and my spot is pretty wavy, even when we have 16-17knox, with my weight you are not sure to be ok with a tt due to waves

Pro Pivot
- found a 100 euro cheaper
- smartbar think it fits greatly to pivot. Both low V
- after reading tons of review, my idea is pivot is little more funny and performance, little bit faster.
- having something different
- i'm gonna start some directional surfing, so the little worst low end could be not a problem

Pivots are very nice grunty kites (in smaller sizes). Love 8, 11 was ok but not great, did not like 12. I think they are good up to 10m (not tried 10) but safe bet up to 9m. Good all around kite, great for jumps, surprisingly even not bad for foiling (despite heavy duty construction), although there are better foiling kite options.

Tried Lithium - much higher bar pressure, slower turning kite in my opinion.

Pivot all the way for me (get 1m smaller size than e quivalent of most other brands - very grunty kite)

why you would go for lithium?

I've had Lithium and now Pivot but Lithium was 12m from 2012 and Pivot is 11m from 2016 so not a completely fair comparison.

Don't know how much the Lithium has changed over the years but the Pivot has a lighter bar pressure and sits more forward in the window making going upwind a lot easier, especially on a surfboard.
If you're going to start using a surfboard I definitely recommend the Pivot. That's specificically what this kite is targeted at....meaning a freeride kite for TT that crossing over to surf and does surf really well. The turns are really nice and of course pivotal which I really like on a surfboard.
I don't think that there is any significant difference in low end and it's definitely more manageable on the Pivot as it doesn't as it sits more forward in the window.

I have used my Pivot on a Smartbar and it works. Recently changed to the new Fone Linx bar as my Smartbar was used a lot.

NOTE 1. It's a bit of a hazzle using the Pivot with your Lithium kites if you only have one bar as Naish has opposite connections to Airush. Naish has the loop connector on the steering lines while Airush has the loop connector on the front lines. This means that you will either have to swap your pigtails on the bar before changing kites or by a separate set of pigtails and put them on the Pivot to invert the connectors.

NOTE 2. A smaller note but the trim depower strap limits the depower range of the Pivot a bit as it can handle a bigger depower range than what the Smartbar is designed for. I didn't have any major issue with this but it is definitely nicer with the Fone Linx bar which has the trim cleat adjustment instead of trim strap.

Just got a 2019 10 mtr Pivot with Naish bar... Honestly the 10 mtr is all you need and I wave ride a lot.
Mate has a lithium the High end is not as good as the Naish and does not in my opinion jump as well....
Pretty rapped with the Pivot but the bigger Sizes are not as bad as other people say...
I have a 10 and 7 and just change boards depending on the wind strength

Mate, works all fine a mid high Y of the linx bar with the low v of the pivot?

Btw i m now in the Tank! Got pivot Is probably some more fun (and 100 euro cheaper), and from the other side lithium fits Better with the rest of my Gear, as after a 10 i would have a 14 lithium.
But maybe having both tt and surfboard would helps a lot.

Not a problem as you can remove the aluminum v-splitter and get a low v. This bar is super nice with lots of adjustments. The only minor downside using it with a Naish kite is that it has a shorter bar throw than the kite was designed for but as the trim cleat allows you to really fine tune the bar position I find that it works really well anyway.
The bar throw on the Linx bar is 2-3 cm shorter than the bar throw on the Smartbar and quite a bit shorter than the Naish bar.
