Hey Guys,

This question may have been asked a thousand times hopefully not exactly this one..

I am looking for a lightweight, comfy harness that won't eat my back up. Light for travel but still supportive. If it has some kind of sliding hook bar the better. the harness will be used 99% of the time with a surfboard.

All the freestyle one seem a bit bulky. Got the 07/08 Dakine Pyro, the sliding hook is not bad but it has left permanent scars on me where it chafed. Plus the vinyl has delaminated from the moulded foam.

I haven't tried it yet or even had a close look but the Dakine Renegade looks well suited.

Must be aimed for the Heavier type of guy, not a waif.

Cheers

Give the LF luxury or a comp harness a go mate. You will be impressed. Jason at West Oz should have them in stock.

Just used my new 09 Liquid Force Luxury Harness for the first time today... it's the most comfortable one I've ever owned.

Hey Rich,

For light weight, the new Flying Objects Flight Control is made nice and light and still retains good back support with good level of comfort. At just 1.388 kg it must be one of the lightest around.

They don't have a sliding spreader bar but the soft neoprene inner will allow it to rotate enough without tearing out chunks of flesh like some other harnies with thermo moulded interior.

We have most sizes in stock at the moment so you are welcome to try one on.

i have been using the dakine tabu for years and have just recently switched to the dakine renegade. love it. so light and super comfy. when you unhook in the surf you dont even know you are wearing a harness. you wont be disapointed if you end up choosing the renegade. try em all and see what fits you best.

Cheers Guys for all the feedback.

Had a look at a couple of harness - there are some really nice ones out their.
The Renegade, Cabrinha and I think the Flying Objects are looking good.
I think as long as the harness don't have any molded foam in contact with the skin, they should not rash up like my previous harness.

I am interested in the Dynabar which should eliminate the back rash.

Just got to get too some shops to have a closer look!

Cheers
