I was a beginner long time ago. If I have to do it again I will buy two year old kites same make and model. The kite must flag out from one line and super easy relaunching.
I will get Lithiums from Air rush. For the board will have to be a 140 x 44 to help with the planning and also two years old model or more
Do not buy C kites . You will spend all your time trying to relaunch the kite.
Try to buy from a kite shop so you can go back to them for warranty issues or advise. An most important take lessons.

welcome to the sport.

Hi,

Many riders make the mistake of buying smaller kites to start. You are the same weight as me, I only started to progress when I bought my 14m switchblade and a big board. Thatwayyou can go out when there is not a lot of wind which makes it easier to learn and gain confidence.
Can sell you a Find Riot 136, ION harness & 14m switchblade (my entire learning kit, for $1100 plus postage.

Best wishes for your kiting.

Cheers,
Andrew
