Hi, it's tme to upgrade from my Ozone Sport II 13m.

I love to cruise and boost and am looking for a new quiver. Kites in consideration are B4 9-12 or 10-14 or Ozone Edge/Cat in similar sizes.

Any suggestions opinions much appreciated.

Demo an Edge they are great.
Noone who has tried it reckoned the hangtime on any other kite they've tried comes close.
When the young kid from the local shop takes the 9m out in 25knots all the mothers on the beach gasp and all the bogans start yelling "yeah nah yeah nah yeah nah yeahhhh!"
(Because it looks like he's never going to touch the water again)

For 15-35knots just get an 11m. You will be sh!tting yourself once it gets much over 30 though

Blissful kiting in every respect. Lots of kites with plenty of power, but none with such smoooooth serious power.

The most sophisticated performance kite I have ever used.

Lots of great kites to toss around these days but for your choice of 'cruising & boosting' Id suggest trying the new V3 Kahoona before buying anything.
Recent WA demos had jaws dropping at boosting and hangtime.
Cant wait to get a reasonable run on them myself soon as they get here.

2 totally different kites so it will depend on what you are after.
Bandit4 is more freeride/freestyle but does EVERY discipline well.
Edge is much higher aspect and will jump higher but turns slower and not as good for unhooking.

Thanks for the replies so far. If I'm on a 13m Ozone sport II, will a 12m B4 have a similar wind range or should I look at a 14m?
I'm thinking an allrounder may be the way to go

Probably the 12m, @ 85kg I use one for most of my light wind kiting.
I found the 14m didn't really offer any more.

The 2010 edge was indeed high aspect and slow turning but the current one (2011) is somewhat lower aspect and definitely faster turning. They made it faster turning so the racing guys can loop it more easily downwind. This also makes it a better all-rounder.

At 120kg a 15m and 11m edge quiver would cover you nicely, and with their 500kg front lines they'll handle a big boy no worries.

nice to meet another 120kg dude.

I can highly recommend the North Rebel 2011 for a very stable kite when pushed by the bigger man. I found bridled kites would 'give' too much when pushed hard, as if it were under-inflated. This is where the Rebel is really good, stable under big loads!

I use my 14m in most winds, then I go to a 12m for the up to 30 knots, but in your case, I would recommend 14 and 10m to cover all but the hardest winds (35knts+). They move quick, turn nice and have good bottom end with enough boost for us big blokes.
