Hi Guys ,

Does anyone have personal experience on these 2 kites (now the B5 has been around for a bit ) and how they hold up in the loop. The marketing hype would suggest the bandit is now up to speed and everything ive heard about the c4 is good ex of some build quality issues . The other thing that concerns me about the C4 is the low end ..... When will i be enjoying my riding on a 13m C4 weighing 90ish kgs.... im usaually up and riding having fun in 12-14 knots on a 135 board and 12m bandit 4.

Secondly are there likely to be any real differences between the 2011 c4 and 2012 c4 ?

Cheers for the help as always ...... will be demoing the B5 this weekend hopefully but the only c4 on the beach got put into a tree this week so cant try it.

I reckon ozone are reasonably small for their sizes. Doubt you could tell much difference between the 13m and 12m bandit. I use to hate the low end on the C4 but got accustom to it and now love the kites (have an 11m, 9m and 7m).

I'd throw a park 14 in the mix as well for a demo, awesome kite in 12-20 loops like a dream.

Sounds like your mind is already made up. I know a couple of young guys that abused the crap out of there C4's last year and they were still in good condition by the end of the season.

Hi Dragonpig,

If you are in Perth, drop in and see us, we're happy to offer you the demo C4's we have. Call first as they are out on demo currently.

Surely they are very different kites, the bandit a real total delta hybrid? Correct me if I'm wrong. Are you comparing the right kites. From what i've seen the bandit is a loop machine, like the north evo. Seen the C4 guys looping as well. Think from what i seen in the air the C4 is a very refined wing, great boosting and excellent in the surf. Either kite will serve you well unless you are a kite professional looking for that edge and to suite are particular style. Either one man, but I'd always go ozone before f1, but thats just me. Crew looove their bandits.

Go down the AKS in scabs, darren is a wealth of knowledge man, knows his kites better than most and is totally honest with his assessments. That's where i go always.

Thanks Eppo ive dropped Darren a message as im stuck in Hong Kong at the moment... hence the questions about the c4 low end.....for all intense purposes i think the c4 it the kite for me but its tough to leave bandits since they have served me v well over the last 4 years.

I test drove a 12 meter bandit 5 twice now on surf downwinders and am really impressed with it so much so that I've ordered one.

Its very quick to turn for a 12 which is a view shared not only by me but by three other guys I handed it to for a test drive. The ride is very similar to the b4 but it turns so much quicker.

I'm a solid 100kg and the b5 had plenty of low end with the added benefit of turning speed (even in light conditions) and a light bar pressure.

Can't speak for the c4 but they have a great following. I would definately get your hands on the bandit 5 for a test ride before committing to a new purchase.
