Ive never riden a cesar before but i have owned a 128 Jamie pro. The board did me well for the time i had it but its got a few bad points.
- Spray from the front of the board hits you straight in the face.
- The flat base structure makes for very hard landings.
- I managed to make an indent under the foot pads, threw the upper layer
of the deck and threw the bottom layer on a powered landing.
- No good in light winds <15kts

Good points.
- Good pop.
- good in 18kts+
- Very light board
- Good foot straps.

Hope this helps

yeah that helped a bit, though i thought they r ment 2 b good 4 landings? u get that spray from most squared boards, my old 1 was also notorious for that when your riding in the chop.. i wonder whether the cesar will take hard n fast better than the jaime? damn the large range we have these days

I thought it was suppose to be good on landings as well. I now ride a double concave base and it is so much sweeter to land compared to my jamie. different strokes for different blokes i guess......

happy trails.

Look at something with a double concave base preferably and slightly skinnier tips, underground flx, cardboards, airush protoy etc. Demo is th ebest way to find out,
Enjoy

wat does the double conc do for landing?
im no xpert at designing boards n what not but i thought the concave makes for more speed and handling chop better? im not going to sacrafice insane pop for softer landings btw. iv demod a 125 jaime n i loved it but i was wondering how it compares to a cesar? but yeah i gota go 2 windsurfing perth 2 get one so i might just ask wht they say bout the undergrounds neway.

Hi mate, I've ridden both the 07 caesar and the 07 jamie Medium. I ended up buying the Jamie. Reason being that the Caesar was too big for me. sure it had great pop landing was a breeze but it was too much board to be throwing around the place.
The pop on the Jamie is more than enough, It doesn't throw my body position out while in the air like the Caesar did. A well powered landing that isn't quite going right can be landed easier on the Caesar than the jamie (surface area i think), but in saying that a landing that isn't quite going to plan was less common with the Jamie because I had more of a command over it while in the air.

If there was a smaller version of the Caesar I probably would have bough it

James

Splashes into my face were no issue because of a little cut out on the corner of the board.

yeah i know what you are talking about, used 2 ride the 07 125 drive until it snapped, then i used darrens xpact and although it performed so much better than my 125 it was just a bit big 2 swing around wen u r throwing fast flat rotations. i think the lil more rocker on the jaime might be better 4 the chop 2. probably going to get the 125 again now i just have 2 wait fr my friking new Drive 2 arrive 4 the trade in slow best

from looking at the north website, the youngblood large looks to be a slightly smaller version of the cesar.

anyone ridden one???

i had a look at the younblood 2day wen i pickd my sick new jaime but yeah the youngblood is like a lower budget version, weaker core softer flex and it doesnt have quite the same progressive flex tips ay. but they are conciderably cheaper i believe and look to be worth the value. some1 should get round to demoing it
