Hi all,

I'm just trying to work out which kite would be a better investment, i currently have a Cabrinha bow kite as well as a liquid force hybrid kite. I kite mostly in relatively choppy conditions (leighton) and find that the bow kite has a ridiculous amount of power as opposed to the hybrid kites. I enjoy the liquid force in respect to how fast it is and when i get on it it almost urges you to push harder for new tricks, but i find the wind needs to be a lot stronger to get going on the hybrid.. I'm looking at the switchblade as a possibility or just possibly upgrading to a bigger liquid force hi fi...

Any suggestions or explanations would be unreal...

HiFi is awesome but yes the low end isn't the best around, very fast and is excellent at everything. My 12m HiFi typically starts working in around 14knots for me (75kg) and in this i can have a ball. But what the Hifis lack in low end more than makes up for in the high end, I am comfortable in 25knots and have taken it past this on a few occasions. If you are going to start freestyle/wakestyle stuff then definetly stick with these.

What size Hifi are you using at the moment? I have a hardly used 12m for sale...

Yeah that sounds about right, i've got a 9 and a 7 but haven't used the seven as i think i'd need a small hurricane to pull me out of the water with it. Also, with the hi fi, do you ever have any problems with the dump valves unwillingly coming undone.. How much is your hi fi for sale for??

Yea the one-way valves on the strut have come out twice on mine, but if you put normal rubber bands over them it sorts them out completely. Also if you fit the clips that close off the struts from the rest of the kite then this helps as well. My Hifi is in the buy and sell:
