I would like to know how the helix 12m compares to the Rhino 07 12m?
I recently changed over from a 07 Rebel 12m to a 07 Rhino 12m because I felt the 07 rebel did not have enough grunt and height going upwind.

The guys in the shop suggested I get a longer board (156 instead of the 138) to use with the rebel and it turned out they were right. The 07 12m rebel is okay in 12Kts with a 82kg rider on a longer board.

I am enjoying the 07 12m rhino for its better upwind performence, faster rigging, more grunt and the fact that i paid money for it so I better enjoy it, so now I would like to know how the Helix compares to the Rhino? and is the Rhino being updated in 08?

Word on the street (some bloke on kiteforum) is that the new Rhino will not have current 2-pump system. Surprise, surprise... . However, it's still very early days and I don't think anything a bit more reliable will really leak out about it until around Octoberish. I flew a 10m 07 Rhino in similar conditions to a 12m Helix (15>20 knots with a bit of chop) and to me they felt like very different kites. However, I did feel things in common included upwind ability and a bit of grunt; compared to 07 Rebel. Best for someone that has flown 12m against 12m to comment...
