Has anyone used the gorilla front deck grip on their strapless sb?

How is it? Grippy? Thick or thin etc?

Thanks

I just got the Ocean and earth front foot, looks very similar. It was **** so I took a Stanly knife to it and made 1 inch slices like a zebra crossing, waxed in between and was good as gold today.

mmm...

Yeah i was thinking it looks a bit too flat to be grippy.

Was that the 3 long strips or the six square O&E grip?

Hard to tell from photo but gorilla looks very similar to octopus grip which was brought out (endorsed) by Chipa Wilson and other aerial specialist surfers. Basically it's really low profile grip that still allows you to move your feet around similar to wax. They are using it on front foot on surfboards; especially in cold water with wettys and booties. I put the octopus on one of my boards and took it off. I don't like strips of grip under my front foot, preferring a pad. But each to their own. I use WMFG under front and just match pattern with tail pad. It's expensive but really good. He is looking for an Ozzy distributor of his grip and large kite pump.
Here are some photos of octopus grip (it's expensive to. Not sure you can even get it in Australia)

I do like the shinnster grip, but cant justify the price tag!

I may end up buying some bulk grip and cutting to size, but I'm spending some big dollars on a board, so I want some cool colours not just black

Is that top centre piece any good for hooking your foot under when a big broken set comes in when heading out?

i started using the moulded grip on the front foot and it works well
deckgrips.com
the moulded seems to be more like wax than the lazer cut
