ive got a 14m that ive had for a few weeks now. unfortunately the winds been so crap that i can't really comment :(

so far though, its a damn nice kite, low end is not as low as i like to the point that im thinking about a 18+ when i can afford it.

the bar setup is very nice, if you use a suicide leash its a free spinning leash setup. ive added a dimension 5 (5th line), the kite itself doesn't need it but im a 5th line convert and I found ditching the bar on the standard setup left it tangling lines

kite turns fast and boosts well, but ive not had enough time on it :(

oh yeah, the struts, like damo said, absolutely rock... i leave the struts inflated more often than not and the one way valves dont leak at all like some ive seen

hope that helps, talk to john @ sos im sure he will sort out a demo?

ive got 8,12,16 and am very happy with all of them.
they are very stable, turn fast and boost well.
ive also converted to the fith line which is awsome for very quick relaunch and hot launches.
they are built solid with all the up to date modern features and quality material.
i ride both flat water unhooked (27m lines)and in the waves (20m lines)on a 132 flx and weigh 82kg.

if you see me around (pt walter, woodies, cott) have a go on one or see the boys at SOS

cheers wayne

I've got the 12 and am pretty happy with it. It is slightly lower Ar than the previous model(Stealth) and has a thicker LE. The kite is reasonably fast and goes upwind well altough not as well as the stealth. The vision is very stable in the gusts and well built.
Gaastra seemed to have ironed out a lot of the problems they were having with the GXR and Stealth without losing too much of their boosting ability.

I had a quick go on the 14 in around 15kts a little while back.
Good jumps and hang but pretty heavy bar pressure imo.

I ride the 10mtr vision with 118 vision board. The kite has a solid but smooth pulling power. I highly rate the kite for it's stability and hang time. The board has a good outline and it's super quick, the thicker nose wont allow the little board to nosedive and the slight weight helps with ironing out the chops. The 40mm fin will assist you in landing difficult tricks and the rocker is great for bitting into steep amplitude . I had a go on the 6mtr vision kite on Saturday, and I want one. This is the kite for extreem days so stable yet quick to respond. Makes scarry days a breeze.

Hey Swinginginthewind,

I've got the 8, 12, 18m quiver and love all of them. 12 is definitely my favourite size though. The 8 is super quick, so for wakestyle I thought it was a little too fast, but for boosting it goes off. Great for waves too. The 12 is just perfect, and I'd imagine the 14 wouldn't be fairly similar. It's fast without being ridiculous, it's stable, and it's just a super smooth kite to fly. As far as the bar pressure goes, it is a little heavier than some of the lighter kites I've flown, but i like that. I reckon it gives you more of a feel of where the kite is rather than having to keep an eye on it.

Bonster,

How good is the 118 Vision?? I've got the same board and haven't found anyone else that owned one in Australia. So tough too, I've gone over oysters, sliders, rock groynes, kickers and the things only got a few minor scratches and the rest is just black **** that rubbed off of the slider. It's good to see someone else has got to ride one, I was getting sick of all the "the FLX is the only board that is tough and flexy" **** talk that goes on.
