The Core GT 9 is my current favourite kite (strong construction , fast turning and responsive kite) I have been using the Core GT's (7 and 9) since they were released, and still do not see the need to change...
My GT bridles do not wear as fast as my XR bridles (unless one could maybe add the "new" eyelets to replace the pulleys as seen on the new Core GTS range)
Still waiting for some eyelets to put onto my XR12 (as was promised by the South African Destributer) but they must have been lost in transport...
Can't say I've tested the rabbit 9, so take it as a biased response.

Yep, second that. The 9m GT has got a HUGE range. Easily the most versatile kite I have ridden by a massive margin. About to jump on a 9m GTS, has got big shoes to fill. From what I have observed the Wainman trades off some bottom end for lighter bar pressure. Tough to match the GT's bottom end though.
If you set the trim right, and you use the appropriate knot on the GT's rear lines, the GT bar pressure is quite nice (excellent feedback). Power it up fully in 25Knots+ and you'll boost to the moon, but you will be working to hold on.

Both kites are built like Brick $hithouses. Have seen both smashed around without issue. Both seem to loop well, never seen either of them stall. My GT's have shown no signs of deteriorating over time. Need to here from the Wainman crew to see how theirs have held up. Pretty good too I recon?

Tried a core the other day, be careful the first time you boost these things, you can certainly get some terrifying altitude even with mediocre megaboosting technique.

Love the 9m smoke - awesome kite... its simplicity is its best feature, and like the core that huge midsection gives it great bottom end. For surfing the light bar pressure is sweet and the 9 is as quick as some of my other smaller kites. Im 100kgs and I ride it from about 14kts on my surfboard - you do need to spend some time with the config though... I have mine on fast everything and makes it a dream.

Cores are sweet kites too, their intial kites had too much bar pressure for me but the new ones are much better.

Both great kites... time for a demo one thinks :)
