I have been using the 9 & 12 for a few months now and have ridden them in a large variety of conditions but always for waveriding. I am really happy with the performance of both the kites. They have great bottom end and comfortable top end and the bottom end on the 12 is awesome and has been worth it's weight in gold on the wave count front. They have more of a direct feel meaning you always know where the kite is - I suppose a bit more like a C kite which is what you'd expect from the shape.
Wave riding has been easy, turns great and depower is instant ( and big - dump the power and it disappears ) Have found that small frontline adjustment/sheeting changes the kite significantly. I reckon once you find the sweet spot you can leave the kite where it is as it is very stable.
Definatly an improvement to me on the 06 Sonics as I prefer a more c shape feel. Snappier turns and more stable pull have been great in the surf. Can't comment on the jumping as am always wanting to get back upwind and get another wave. I ride a strapped 5'10 Stonker quaddie.

I rode Mike Walker's 12m Trix during the expression session at Port Macquarie for a couple of hours and loved it. was riding a 138 cardboard in 17 knots and got some nice floaty airs...some with a second lift. The best bit.....I'm 100kg so the bang per knot per kilo was very very good...I also agree with ur comments re the bottom and top ends.
I normally ride Xbows so the jumps on a lot of others seem underdone a little. Deciding between the Trix and the instinct sport in 2 weeks.
cheers

Got my Trix 9m today!!! stoked! But no wind in the next few days .

I'll give a review after flying it... but I can tell that it looks great, nice bag, akpo system looks promising, bar looks well buit, and I also liked the new stiching on the LE.

I was deciding btw ozone sport and the trix ... trix won my preference.

FInally nearly one month after having bought my 9m trix I had enough wind to get out. Conditions were gusty 18-25kn, raining, squalls, and bloddy COLD!

My views:

- lots of depower, very happy with it.
- very stable
- right bar pressure, quite light, but enough to feel the kite
- one pump (gotta love that)
- short lines (20m) make the kite really fast, but I couldn't dial in how to jump high with such short lines
- re-launch is instantaneously! kite just wants to fly!
- loops well and fast

Hoping to have a sail on the waves tomorrow!

cheers

WOW!
Finally got my deserved session with the Trix on the waves!!
I can say that the kite does everything they promissed... just unbelivable the way it hangs in the air even when your surfing the waves straight downwind... the kite just stays there waiting for when you need it.

It was last Friday @ the Bunbury Cut in 3-4ft waves and 18-28knts (pretty gusty at times).

The kite has an impressive depower, but does not lose steering, it is still very responsive. Points UPwind like no other. My Friend was on his Vegas 07 and we could notice that the Trix was going better upwind. In fact at times I was jumping just to lose ground and come back to the waves.

Talking about jumps, I am kinda getting the hang of how to jump with it, and I'm loving... it tends to pull you UP^ with not much drifting... so you don;t lose much ground.

Well I look forward to my next sesh... maybe this Tuesday!

** By the way, I am NOT sponsored (I wish I was!!) by GK, and neither got a discount (wished that too!) to comment on the kite's performace. I'm just trying to inform you of what's out in the market as I did extensive research before opting for this kite.
