These came off a Slingshot Web site. Is this correct does the 08 Fuel have the same wind range as the 08 Rev?

I swear SS always show weird windranges on their site. Im 65kg and on my fuel (11m) i can get going from 12-13 and handle up to 28-30knts. And the Rev definetly has more low end so they do have different wind ranges, i think that chart shows the optimum conditions only.

I don't know why but slingshot drastically under state the wind range of there kites. like dustin I have massive more range then the charts show..

i'm probably way off, but just an idea; maybe with low end its because they test their kites at the gorge. in fresh water you need more power.
and with the higher end of the scale they are probably just covering their arse. no good stating to a beginner on paper thats its ok to take your 11 out in 30 knots

umm yea i think it only shows optimum range aswell, because if you look at it its fades in and out so that gives me the idea that it shows it performs average at lower and higher ends of that lil graph?

i rode the 9m at pelican point today with a lunacy[129], friends were riding 13m 07 fuels and 130 boards as well so i guess the rev has a better bottom end.
friends were same weight and heavier than me*

have to say its a really good all round kite and will suit the guys who want something other than the fuel and more performance than the beginner orientated turbo2.

i would add i was riding outside the advertised windrange

ok, it was a bit windier today at the same spot with the same board but 10 times as many other kiters
9m fuel today didnt have as much power as yesterday on the 9m rev.
the rev was faster at lower wind speeds and was a better kite in many ways, if you want to go from fuel to rev you wont be disappointed but having said that i haven't even read about the 08 fuel...

windpig, yeh its true. Fuel seems to have an undiscovered depower technique to them. When you use the 5th line trim the kite depowers more and more but doesnt sacrifice turning. i would never advise a beginner to ever take the kite out in 30 knts but for an experienced rider it is definetly do-able. The fuel has a classic C kite shape but still depowers like the swept Torch and Vegas's.
