Advice on quiver size, 86kg rider 132 TT, WA conditions, 9-11 or 9-13 9-13 sounds like a better overlap but not sure on the 13 in the 20-22 knots as I would think for my weight this would be when I would swap to the 9....

I am interested in depower in gusts and turning speed of the 13.

I'm the same weight with a 133 twinnie and ride 5,7,9,12m torch quiver. I'm about to upgrade and swap the 12 for an 11 so it's a bit quicker and more fun, with similar wind range due to its speed and aparant wind generation.

Mmm I wonder how much sales SS lose out because they are missing a 12 or is the wind range of the 11 enough say compared to a 12 sle/delta...

In my opinion all kites fly like crap when depowered over 40-50%. The back lines get too slack and most feeling and response is lost. With a fuel you can just check your board if you need more depower, or put up another kite better suited to the wind strength.

So yeah I don't think it really matters what type of kite you have. If you want and can afford a quiver to fly great in all wind strengths, space them out by 2 or 3m. If you don't have overlap in your quiver because they are spaced 4 or more meters apart, you will have to deal with a sloppy flying kite when you could be killing it!

Oh yeah, fuels are great in gusts, they're super stable and predictable, and again just check your board if it gets too much. A 13m fuel is fairly slow, but this is good for practising wake style in lighter winds. I'd get the 11m if I were you.

I rock the 2012 9/11 combo and I weigh over 90. There's a guy who I ride with who doesn't seem to be having any more fun than I do on his 2012 13m around the 16-18 knot wind range on a 135 tt here in St Kilda.

Yeah that's the other option is to get a bigger board and had a 132 and a 135 and go the 9/11 but I do love my small boards...

Hey im 95kgs ride a 10m c4 and a 2012 13m fuel.
135 x 42 money shot and a Cardboards FR 141x42

Wind range for the 13m for me is 15 - 20 ish with no depower. The kite is responsive and feels lively for a 13m.

I don fly it much but enjoy it when i do.

My eperiance.... 9m;11m feul will be ideal for Perth conditions... I fly 12m rpm & a 9m feul 09 on a 142 darkside wakeboard for lighter day and a 136 custom cabrinha or a 132 misfit on good strong days
