Hi I was wondering how hard, if practical and a rough cost to put footstap inserts in a 2020 duotone fish surfboard. I'm after a a lightwind surfboard with straps.
I know most people say you should ride strapless, but I get frustrated in the white water surf going out when the board gets washed off straight from under my feet, and I prefer to do small jumps over the top of the waves with board securely attached to feet.
I like my 2015 nugget with straps was going to upgrade to a 2019 nugget but sell out items now are scarce so I started looking at the duotone fish, duotones nugget replacement but has no footstrap insert options.
If I picked one up a cheap 2nd hand demo or run out one it may be practical to add the inserts.
Thanks for any input ideas.

I think all kite surfboards should have inserts. For those against it, you don't have to use it.
May as well just buy standard surfboard?. More options,. You can get a pretty solid China press for half a "proper kite surfboard" costs.

Or you support local Australia kite board makers Which in most cases are better shape and lighter The cost for brass strap inserts to be installed $150 to $180 Note also you will need to remove pads And assume buy new pads to replace There are a number of Melbourne/Vic I use Smookboards

I wasn't referring to the custom board builders like yourself, more the generic big brand pop outs. (Also made in China)
