If not Flysurfer or Flexi? What is the kite that can provide the longest hangtime?
Flysurfer; and if you also want Height; get yourself a speed 3 12m; it has both; it boost really good and it has a lot of hangtime.
The best fs ever ;-)
The new speed 4 10m is also pretty good in strong wind. A little less hangtime but it also boost very good.
Saw a video now with a guy on Flysurfer and remembered a couple of weeks ago a guy, doing massive jumps at Longy. I am thinking about my next investment. Even though, I think they are heaps more dangerous if you **** up (very difficult relaunch).
That used to be true; but with the newest speed 4 I would say that you are still getting the advantage of a Foil but less and less the disadvantages;
For starter; the most important one; with the new speed 4 it is almost impossible to wind up with a bow tie which is about the worst thing that can happen when you are 2-3 km from the shore :-(
Also I was staying away from my Speed 3 in strong and gusty wind because they have a tendency to deform and they weren't too stable.
The new speed 4 are a lot more rigid; not quite like a LEI but they are getting close. It does feel rock solid in the air.
The last point was the turning Speed; the new speed 4 turns a lot faster and in a smaller radius.
So to sum it up they did a great job on those new speed. I had the chance to ride my New Speed 4 10m in Cuba 2 weeks ago and I really love it. It takes more wind to perform. Usually the bigger speed feels bigger when compared to a LEI; for example my Speed 3 12m felt more like a 14m in terms of power but I don't think that it is the case with the smaller speed 4 : 8 and 10m.
ps: If you ever have a chance to try one; go ahead you actually might like it. I have a quiver of B6 : 9-12 (on the way) and 14 but I also like foils very much. Especially in winter in the snow. The flaot is unreal.
