Have been flying the flow 10 recently. The kite is working so well it almost feels like i am cheating.

To me the turn rate feels almost identical to a c kite -compares to a 12 lift for turn rate - ie nice and quick - which is super important in the surf.

Upwind - well i was riding a Converse 6'0 surfboard which goes upwind well any way - but i was flying upwind in record time-this is so important for catching more waves.

bottom end -near or at 12 c kite level, top end near or at 8 c kite . For surf riding the ability to grab the power through the bottom turn is great but even better - when you get to the lip you can switch the power off and enter true surfing mode - just sheet out and hit the reo with no kite pull! I found this makes a massive difference for flowing wave action.

Jumping boost factor is excellent - In an earlier jump session i also found that the ability to use the massive power/ sheeting range mid air means that on landing you can sheet the kite right in for super power - which results in feather soft landings every time! Landing jumps softly on this style of kite is SOOOO easy - its like having a handbrake for gravity!

All up i know Airush are on to a winner with this one.

Have they finally caught up with the rest of the world and put 1 pump on the kites yet ??

I think for the asking price they should have all the goodies.

firstly thanks to airush

they were happy to demo kite - no questions asked
can only be a good thing if u are looking around for different gear
positive change from past attitudes

the kite
well made, when pumped up rock solid, no one pump but as said can get the struts hard

the bar
long throw al a sle/bow
not sure about depower below the bar-awkward to use on the fly. cleat slipped a few times

flying
out 16kn to 25kn
at low end out performed 13m 06 fuels, 2 (good kiters) out on fuels walking whilst this kite held its ground and more

top end not explored, was 20-25 (rotto salmon bay 18/10)when put kite down, not in danger of being over powered
however at that wind speed arms a long way from body, hence issue with depower strap, if had it sheeted in bar would have been closer

seems a good kite, honestly not my style thou, flown a few bows/waroo

dont like them so not specific to this kite, which went up wind well, depowered well and had high floaty jumps, good top and bottom ends

what i dont like (sle/bows)
self launching - having 100% depower good, but only required when muffing a self launch which happened a few time
if a side of window strong tendency to fall, especially if only lightly sheeted out (not like c which stays put)
bar pressure - need to pull hard all the time
long throw - poo man stance hard to avoid
slow turning

so i'm sure the flow is right up there with the others
if thats what u are after dont percieve this as a negative review, the kite was fine, its the over concept i havent warmed to (?yet)

make your own mind up, its good to test them and even better that a few stores will demo them
