Hey guys , ive been flying my 10m Dos all year and have had a ball with this kite but ive noticed a lot of the bandits on the beach seem to have the green line about 15cm longer than the red. I checked mine and they seem fine but i went out on a friends 7m in 40 knts and nearly sh@t myself. He hadnt tuned the kite by shortening the green line and i found it turned slower than my 10....a lot slower in fact. I came back to the beach immediately to try and work out what the problem was. My mate pulled in the green line and sent me back out , it was a lot better but not nearly as good as i was expecting. I still think the tuning might have been wrong.

Anyone experienced a similar problem?Is the green line stretching a lot quicker than the rest? Got any suggestions?

Unless you weigh 120+ kilos, you should have been ****ting yourself on a 7 dos in 40knots. That is getting to the point where it is stupid to go out

been flying the dos for a while now and i've had a similar issue- turned out to always be due to one of the pulleys in the briddle system is jammed with sand 'locking it up' at a shorter part of the briddle making it feel and look like one of teh line's shorter- check that all the pulleys are working fine before sending the beast in teh sky and should sort that prob out...

The lines have a tendancy to jam down the side of the pully. If line lengths are different you can adjust them down near the bar. I ride the 7.5m bandit in 40kts no problems and i dont weigh 120kgs On the fone website the 8m dos has a windrange up to 40kts and that would be fore a 75kg rider so your fairly safe on the 7m in 40+ hope you get it sorted and get out there when its nuking.

Ive had the 10mtr Dos out a few times in 30knts and the only probs Ive had are that the pullys jam up (am thinking of changing to the ones that are on the North Rhino as there are no moving parts) no issues with lines stretching yet.........might be that 30knt days are so few and fare between up here ...!

You might also find that it may not be the green or red line, it is actually the front lines.

What happens is that the swivel on that (silly) triangle arrangement has too small of a hole where it connects to the triangle, and it jams on one side or the other.
Because it is off to one side it gives the impression that one of your back lines have stretched or something.

I don't know why they bothered to put it in there. I took it out and replaced it with a simple stainless steel ring, but you could simply just connect the lines to each other without any metal there at all. Removing it just means that you are literally shortening your fromt lines, and you and adjust this on your knots further down on near your bar.
