Need some advice from folks who know both these year models.

I can get a good deal on a 2013 13m (600usd).

There's a guy who has a 2015 that says they turn much faster than previous models but obviously his is much more.

Anybody care to comment on the perceivable diffs between these year models?

the newer v7/v8 edges are a little bit more grunty than the 2013 models . Slightly different canopy shape but as to turning faster i think they are on a par .

I have 2013 and v7 edges and the only difference i felt was more power in the v7 compared to the 2013 . As for turning speed well same same really

Yep, agree with dusta....
Maybe slightly faster turning on the earlier model but hardly noticeable.

The biggest difference IMO is the QR...push away Megatron is faaar better than earlier model.

Why 13m? Is it going to be lw option for u?

I'm going with the 13m to fill my needs for a kite that covers 12-20+

I already have a 2011 11m edge and will upgrade that one to the 10m next.

Hoping to increase my low end but also want to get the best top end speed I can with my raceboard. I'm figuring that when we get our 12-20 days I will be pretty well powered.

How big of a difference is the feel of the new edge? Does the extra grunt translate to better reaching speeds at the expense of upwind angles? Seems like maybe it's slightly lower aspect?

honestly i prefer the 2013 edges to the newer ones . i have some 2013's up for sale atm :) in buy n sell


a 15 and 11 2013 and v7 8m

I have 13m 10m combo. Works well. Mine 2013 models

Don't think I have ever flown a bad edge, I know the 13 is a hang time fun beast. Think the newer ones are stronger with not as many pinholes.
