Based in what I just read 11m.

I've had a lot of fun on my '12/'13 11m edges at 90kg in anything over 15kts on my custom board 136x42. Kiting for 10 years, old school free ride hooked in riding.

I have a '13 13m which I like from 12/13kts to 20kts. Starting on a light wind tt board.

I have just traded the 11m for a 10m as the over lap sweet spot was too close and the 11 was a handful over 25kts. The 10m took 6-7 weeks to show so no test rides as yet. Will re post when I have some feedback.

Based on your weight and starting at 15kts and coupled with your 8m I would look at the 11m with 23-24m line setup.

On a side note to me it feels as though kite design has gone from the flat bridled kites hitting the scene in '06 with massive wind ranges and broad performance in that range, to the more recent models over the last few years with still large wind ranges but more tuned sweet spots and ho hum performance either side of that.
Even with a couple of boards in an ideal world these days I would be running a 9,11,13,17 quiver of edges to get the most out my kiting time. Like back in '05 when I would run a 9,11,14,20 quiver of kites!!
But for now I am happy with 10/13m kites and two boards.

It's a conspiracy from the brand and shop guys!
Or maybe I'm just old and fussy now!

imo i think ozone have done themselves with the intro of the 10, ive always had the edges in the 9 , 11 combo over the years and have often thought the 10 would be the perfect size, my perfect quiver for next year will be the zephyr 9 to 20knts ,10 edge 20 to 28knts , 7 edge 28 to high 30s , with a monk 135 and an alkita la bomb mutant, interchanging boards through the kites lets you cut down on the kite quiver,

My bottom kite will be a 14m cat I'm 10kg lights than you. Also 7m edge didn't agree with me so its an 8 cat.

Had 10 out I marginal 12 to 15 on a mako king today for half an hour plus on the middle factory settings. ( would normally have it on fast ), yep it is indeed the perfect combination of turning speed and hang time. But let me wait until some decent winds to confirm.

Um why would you want the 45cm C4 bar on a 10 or 11m edge? 50cm contact will do just fine.

More on the 10m, was um 14 to 17 today, was holding ground on the 140 mako but ended up getting on the mako king and was nicely powered, not as much as I'd want but still enough for a to throw down my soft freestyle gaybo moves. Coup,e of double back rolls, some one foot boards offs etc, with enough height to make it a reasonable albeit 'zen' style session.

One thing is clear and edge riders will relate. The edge to boost is all about how much speed you can hold without being taken off your line. The 11 can drag you a little without correct technique, the 9m you can lose some power and speed if you load on the edge to early.

The 10m seems to allow you to ride at flat out speeds and send it to jump so the speed is translated into height. Its window if you like for timing regarding edge jumping technique is a fair bit wider. And yet there is that little bit more canopy to give you hang time closer to the 11m.

Also quick enough for looping roll rotation transitions etc and basic looping on a jump to.

Nice size.

But I do think it will take 20 knots before it comes alive and 23 up before it is in the real grin territory.

Low end is still remarkable was on the king Sunday on 12 to 14 knots maybe, going upwind. Nothing to write home about as you still needed to carefully use the apparent wind but heck can't complain.

Will update later this week if the forecast holds true...

I didnt think about 45cm bar but 54cm for the matterhoping that bigger bar could make her faster !.........especially if I finally decide on 11m what would be probably most logical move ,but Im very tempted by 10m,being only 5kg heavier than you I belive its still the option,especially after reading what T-one said

11M Edge will go better with your 8M.
Don't use the North 4 line bar on an Ozone, but you could use the Ozone bar on your North.

used my zephyr bar on my 11 edge when ive not been arsed changing over it works fine but i still prefer the feel of my bar for my 11, i usually ride mainly one handed with my fingers split over the depower so havnt felt ive needed the bigger bar for faster turns, if your looking for a fast turning kite im sorry youre looking at the wrong kite and if your looking to loop it in a jumping sence again youd be better looking elsewhere, the 9 is fine and the 10 id presume should go ok , the 11 gives a lovely powered down loop but i wouldnt dream of pulling the trigger when boosting to its upper levels,

I would go for the 11m for sure. Great wind range and a lot of fun.

Cat is a very very different kite to the edge. At 64kg you'd be incredibly powered on an 11m edge even at 16, 17 knots. 20 you'd be holding in for dear life. Man what about 25 ? Surely you are not in the 12 cat.

I love my laluz 135 I have progressed with this board a lot, I also got a chopstick 149 which I started out on. I thought I'd use the chopstick in light winds however I personally think the Laluz matches the chopstick in lightwind so I don't even bother riding the chopstick anymore lol
Laluz has a well balanced rocker and concave (I actually admire the concave) nice sturdy fins and a good flex (which makes the board great for chop, and cushioned landings) as for the pads I find them okay (people say they are great) but I put heels straps on my because I slipped out of them a lot when I tried doing front roles. They have a kinda grip, but when your foot moves a bit, that's it, complete lost of traction. But maybe that's the way my foot is shaped that's when I realised toebars are handy ha ha other things i appreciate about the board is its detailed graphics and designs, (i remember someone saying a five year old could have chose the art) but when you look closely to the baord and the way it reflects in the light its pretty sweet. Also the lightness of the board is absolutely awesome, for me it enables me to move it with ease without it feeling like you got ankle weights on. Alot of this stuff is reapeated but generally stating its what they say it is. Overall it's my main board and I'm definitely not disappointed and I saw you on a tv add for headland personal
What's the go there famous ha ha as for Xenon in general I think they set the bench mark pretty high.

As for my quiver Eppo gotta take in consideration the locale of where I'm kiting, in the sub topics air density is different so I'm confident to take my Zephyr to 20 knots before putting a 12 cat up knowing it should cover 20 to 25 knots, well I hope ha ha in saying that I'd probably get away with the cat at 15 knots seeing it would be a bit more fun

All good mate, Yeah definitely luck involved I do feel for some of the heavier kiters on some days where I just manage to stay up wind and they gotta walk a bit. But gotta say its a challenge on lightwind days as to getting technique right so I don't mind, and then I def appreciate it when the wind picks up trying to make the most of it ha ha

Well if its efficiency you want in those light winds then you have the right kite in the zephyr. Love what they have done with the inbred edge DNA. Fantastic kite the zephyr 2013.

Id love a 2013 Zephyr but I got an old one 2010 and It does the job for me :) and what I appreciate about the 2010 model is the sturdiness in built, however downfall maybe the weight
