My Comments:

Just did a search for reviews on the Core XR3 and could not find much. I am keen to hear from anyone who has ridden this kite in the waves and what they thought about it particularly at the lower and upper end of its range. I am looking for a good hybrid kite for general kiting and waves and this looks like it might be a good option.

Does anyone on this forum ride Core kites or did I ask the question incorrectly...I am seriously considering a purchase and I am finding it very difficult to find any reviews on its capability in the surf.

Yes I found the same. I called Darren and Todd at AKS only this Saturday oops..Action Sports they gave a pretty good run down of how it flies...and I trust them. Very helpful.

I won't put words in their mouth I will let them tell you directly.

Hope this helps.

All I will say is Darren highly rates it as a booster.

Do yourself a favour and look into wainman rabbit series, I use them for freeride and waves although they pull a little to hard for unhooked. You will be hard up finding a kite with a larger wind range. They have muliple settings for all styles of kiting. yeh I know I'm a wainman pimp but they do exactly what they claim to do.
