Been looking into getting a split board as I will be taking my motorbike to the beach. The big brands' models seem a bit soft for me, so I have my eyes on the "Resolve" model from kitelement which is supposed to be harder and suited for bindings. A proper review by a kite magazine won't come out until December sometime and since the season here in Australia is about to start I was hoping to find someone who actually bought one and could give some feedback? Have you had any problems and hows the flex? Overall impression?

Please only comment if you actually do own one, I know many people are against split board and I'm well aware of the pro's and con's.

Sorry for late response. I have the ReVolt which is the ReSolve without the carbon fibre. I think its the first board KE have shipped to Oz.

Short summary is that it's fine. I haven't had any problems with it although I only use it when I travel. The split between the halves isn't seamless - i.e. you can see and feel it but frankly, I don't notice that impacting my riding too much (albeit I'm probably not good enough to notice it). First time I took it out there were some creaks on jumps but then the seam settled in. The tail outline is a bit weird - on a choppy day, I did find a bit of spray hitting me in the face but once I adjusted riding style it was OK.

Takes about 5 minutes to do all the screws in.

Footpads, although they don't look like much, are actually very good. They suit my long narrow feet and now I use them on my day-to-day board.

If you need to travel and halve-it, its good but I think I'd always go with my other board for day-to-day.

Depending on the FX rate, you can get it delivered under the +20% customs limit.

PM me if you want any more info.
