I used to have 2011 C4's. 7, 9 and 12m2. I have been pretty happy for size overlapping with this setup. Now i'm moving to Catalyst. Currently have 2014 12m2 Cat and still have 7&9m2 C4's.
My question is: What setup of Cats would you go? 6,8,12 or 7,9,12? Other what?
7, 9, 12, otherwise you'll miss a bit of the sweet spot between an 8 and a 12. At your weight you'll easily hold the 7 in 30 knots and appreciate the sweet overlap from 9 to 12.
They will have a fair bit more low end and a tiny bit less top end than your 2011 C4s. Enjoy!
Horses for courses - I run my 12m (and 9m) 2014 Cat on a 45cm bar to keep it nice and slow. I can still loop it no worries.
Some advanced riders like a fast kite, some don't. For myself, I rode 2011 C4s, 2012 C4s, 2013 Cats, 2014 Cats, and have never wanted more speed on any of them. Only had a few spins on borrowed 2013 C4s and found them stable rather than fast turning - sat better for unhooked stuff than the Cats (deeper and with less inclination to turn with minor bar input).
For beginners though, generally they want more turning speed because they're on too large a kite and therefore the kite is more to the edge of the window with not much rear line tension rather than being deeper in the window with decent rear line tension.
Disclosure: former Ozone team rider, now simply an Ozone fan.
I was one year on 12m2 2013 C4. It was not my kite. I like the feel of 2011 C4 but they miss a bit low end. 7,9,12 was also what I though is better. Shame there was good deal on used 6&8m2 :)
