Mate what do you mean by too stiff?? If you can elaborate on this then I can do a better comparison with the CB.

The Fuse feels like it bashes into chop. The ride is quite harsh.
When going into carving gybes I feel the need to be very precise on the edging and weighting technique. The whole thing feels very exaggerated. ie. Carefully set the edge, carefully drive the weight down through the legs onto the centreline. It feels a bit like my 48cm wide light wind TT, except the TT feels good. The Fuse feels like hard work.
What I am looking for (and get to an extent from my current boards), is: Yeehaaa! Drive into the turn and blast out the other side.
When riding backwards and loading up to jump the board feels like there is a long, inflexible plate sticking out the end, which is effectively what the tips are.
I can ride the Fuse, it just feels really bad. There is no sense of sinking into the flex and driving the board through a turn. It's more a matter of fighting it to make it do the right thing.
In all the boards I have owned and ridden they either feel good immediately, or I can adapt to them within an hour. My regular kiting boards are: Underground FLX 132x39, custom Cardboards 135x48cm, Cabrinha S-Quad 5'11". I also ride a couple of strapless surfboards just for the fun of it.
