CORE GTS 10m Vs GT 10m

No wind, so thought I'd provide some info comparing the two.

Ridden in both gusty 24-31 knots and a low 12-16 Knots

Overview:

Much more curve C-shape, similar gutsy construction.

GTS on lightest bar pressure (one finger light bar on a 10m Core in 31 Knots wasn't right) Lots of pull from the chicken loop could catch you off guard.
Middle setting was nice, lot lighter than GT, but still with good feel.
Using a 10m GT with 31 knot gusts would not be possible (so better top end range).

Strange feeling when you first send it to start, got so used to that instant pull your arms off power, now much tamed down.

Low wind, seemed to be lacking. Changed it to the shortest knot on the rear lines. Instantly changed it to feel like the original GT. Associated heavier bar feel, but retains that classic bottom end power that I assumed was missing from other reviews. By using the rear line knots the 10m GTS has a massive wind range! Basically GT mode!

Turning speed seemed the same (maybe a little faster), very similar through the loop. If you fish pole it and give it a good yank it will rip around nicely.

Jumping, initially thought it was lacking boost. Then got a couple of classic GT boosts. So the timing required is slightly different, but will still go as high. Super soft coming down. Super easy to re direct it.

Unhooked, lighter bar seems to make it easier, not much change in flight. Different feel mid pop, less bar pull on landing. Not as aggressive pop, but smoother (still getting use to the change).

Stalling - Not going to happen above 12 Knots. I found both the GT and GTS massive standouts for this.

Relaunch, very similar. Both work well.

Self launch, haven't tried it

Self land, same, easy. Put in on a tip, pull the front line.

One pump, new system, looks cleaner, works the same.

Bag, maybe a bit of over kill (too thick) on the GTS. Not as 'airy' as the old bag. Easy to get the kite in, but feels like an industrial back pack. No strut extension option.

New - Velcro bridle holder on the middle strut ends (good). Velcro name tag on the kite and bag (initially WTF?). I'm guessing this is when there is more than one GTS in the area sitting on the beach (all the same colour??)

...Next will be a 7m GT versus the 8m GTS in the fun stuff!

Thanks Wisha your info on GTS finally convinced me to replace my GT's...I was a bit afraid about loosing too much bottom end grunt...hope your opinion is correct .
My 7m and 10.5m 2010 GT's are now for sale if someone is intrested....$500 each.

I have been riding the 7m GTS and 7m GT a lot lately. love them both.
GT for boosting and kiteloops on short lines
GTS for wakestyle, freestyle and waves.

The GTS is the most versatile kite on the Market! C/Delta concept par excellence.
You got so many tuning options- its great when you got it dialed down like Wisha.
GTS is an Allrounder that can be adjusted to any style of riding in any conditions.

The GT is the absolute powerhouse of kites out there. For myself and some of our team the STAND OUT DELTA SHAPE KITE. I haven't ridden a more powerful kite than the 7m GT in strong winds!

The GTS got a lot more top end wind range than GT, i think even more than the XR.

It is really the best out of the GT and XR combined..
You have to try the 7m GTS if you like the 7m GT!

Riding the 10m GTS last night in on/off light stuff (13-17Knots) I found the 10m GTS doesn't go up wind as well as the 10.5m GT in the light stuff (since you need to use the shorter rear line knot). Still powers up nicely for basic wakestyle, jumps. Just going to lose more ground when loading it up. Closer to your average 12/13m kite. Still a cracker for a 10m in 13-17 Knots.
