Just brought a Naish Shockwave and was unable to hold the bar for more than an hour due to the weight .Found if you return the outer lines to the outside as per normal and not to the middle it will halve the bar pressure . I checked this with scales. Are their any other points to try ?

I am a builder and not a weed as per one of the readers how ever if you run the rear lines so they end at the out side of the bar and do not return through the pulley to the centre this will half your bar pressure , the pulley only allows extra line length for depower .

Jeffs disapointed with the amount of bar pressure required to fly his shockwave because of the pulley bar setup. Is there any modifications that can be performed to lower the bar pressure on what is a nice flying and powerful kite

Does this slow the turning speed at all?

Jeff flew his shockwave with my sonic bar last week, but it was only on the beach. It seemed to slow the turning speed, however you have to get it out on the water to really tell. My sonic turns slower and is less sensitive to rider input than the shockwave, unless you are an exceptional kiter, this is not necessarily bad thing. Let you know how it performs next time we get out.

I flew the Shockwave with the rear lines connected to the outside of the bar only ( not returning through the pulley to the centre lines )and the kite was amazing . LIGHT on the bar and yet turning extremly well .And yes it still depowers fully . Try it.
