I can't decide between bindings I want to get either Liquid Force cradles or slingshot verdicts I want Velcro strap no interest in laces
And ideas which of the two is better and or is there something better with the Velcro straps
Cheers fellas

I just got the liquid force vantage 2013 and to be honest for kiteboarding i think you are better with the laces! when your kite is above your head they are much harder to tighten up. and even in your living room its hard to get them as tight as laces.

please dont say you dont want them tight because you do! otherwise there is no point in the boots!

mine are also closed toe and a perfect fit but on some sessions im dont tighten them all the way up as its such a pain in the ass then your toe get a bit mushed. with laces two quick movements and they are tight and ready to go!

I Agree I currently have liquid force cradles and I will be most likely going to laces mainly because they don't fit me properly-too big, you can have them for $100 size 8-11

Lf have a few new ideas for doing up laces with one hand. Wait to see what 2014 brings. They are always going to be harder to get tight unless you drop your kite.
Valcro is easy so worth a try. Irishbaz come down and try the demo bindings i have in the shop.
Also will have heaps of demo bindings at the end of August at KSS Altona

KSS,
I've been lapping up all your little hints on Facebook about what 2014 will bring for LF. Have you compiled pics or info anywhere about the 2014 range?

Yep with full bindings, a head band and my board shorts over my wetty. I mean I won't be doing any wake style, just riding with bindings....lol

Nah want to know what they have done with the NRG in 2014.

Lol thats "euro style" not "wake style". To be hard core wakestyle you would not even own a wetty, just a 4XL basketball shirt to kite in.

Sounds like you might as well ride in 4 XL rip curl baggy ass denim with extra pockets over the bindings lol

Hey Eppo, the 2014 Liquid Force gear will be out in mid August. Nrg looks alot better than the last and we have tones of guys lovin the 2013 NRG.
Heaps of new features and is built alot stronger.

You can get the seat harness from last year with boardies built in to wear over your wettie, not sure if they are doing head bands but bindings will match your helmet and impact vest! :)

Okay ta for that. Reckon I can match in my board reel leash as well? Yeh I have heard from other sources the LF gear is looking unreal for 2014, but we will see if the hype matches the reality I suppose.

Ha, they do have alot of matching gear colour wise. Not sure about the reel though.
Hopefully in August you can get hold of the gear, otherwise i will be putting picks up of all the gear on my FB page.

I just started shopping today for bindings and was wondering the same thing, I tend to look at the shape of the boot and the one thing that I saw was the shape of the laced boots seemed to look way more comfortable, was just not sure how easy the would be to tighten up with your kite fluffing in the wind.

Bit steep price wise though Ronix are about $600 plus......!!!!!!!! North have a custom Ronix boot that looks as comfy as spooning a dutch backpacker on a double quilted dooner ;)

This years/ last years LF looked a bit like steel caps with some Velcro but that's only my view from the pictures on the web.......?

Ronix are the bomb. Laces are superior for fit and not hard to do up. Actually easier than velcro as you get them tight in one quick go rather than fluffing about trying to get straps firm enough.

Call them boots tho.. Bindings are akin to calling a surfboard a directional

I had one foot come out some of vintages on a windy day after a crash. Couldn't get the Velcro open with one hand and was being dragged out a bit. Was quite scary. Ended up having to struggle getting the other foot out and dragging back.
I wouldn't have Velcro after that.
ronin are supposed to be the most comfy. That's while I'll be getting when I can afford them.
Boots cost the same as a cheap run around car these days what's that all about?and they don't last as long.
Manufacturers getting greedy I think?

^^^Your feet can still get ejected from boots with laces after heavy crashes. They are better than velcro, but doesn't mean you're completely locked in. ps I have ronix one's and they fit like a glove but something's got to give when you go big and take a nice healthy edge
