Rider: 83kg, intermediate /advanced
Style: Wake, Freestyle, Surf
Weather: 15 - 35 knots

Hi peeps I used to ride a traditional wake style board (LF Element by Moe Goold). Now I ride a Xenon Infra. I loved the stiff core of the Element and the big rocker, but not so much the deep channels.

The infra is less stiff but still way more than most other boards, it has nice wide ends, the rocker is big and it has a nice single concave with really flexi tips which feels amasing in flat water and all adds up to huge pop.

Knowing this, what similar boards would you crew suggest I demo? Always trying as many mates boards as possible in search of the perfect flat water, unhooked, powered board.

How much are they biggie? There are no secondhand pops here. I have considered them and thought the ends weren't wide enough for my liking and I'm not a fan of channels. I wonder if I can demo them in perth?

+1 for the Tona
See Jason at West Oz kiteboarding, he sells them, they have only been out about 8 months now so wont find many second hand. He has the 142 in now so if you want something wider have a look at that.

Thanks juicy. Fark I was just down at west oz last weekend. I'll suss them out next windy weekend..

Aparantly they're the hottest wake style boards over east but haven't seen any here. How are the narrow tips? I prefer a more rectangular outline. Any spray or load and pop pitfalls?

I ride a 138 pop after riding a 139 gambler, I wondered about the tapered tips also. But after riding it I found it didn't matter at all.

As a bigger guy at 85 -90kg I found the stiffer pop more responsive and faster to load up, tracks through the chop better and is better upwind. I've found the pop as the name suggests pops better also.

The extra rocker makes those landings nice also!

Suss out a Wainman Joke. They've recently come down in price and are a really good board for what you are looking for. See if you can demo one

Hey mick, yeah my mate just got that board. Looks good, minimal flex, big rocker and very good construction. LF do know how to make a good wakeboard. I'll have to give it a shot on the weekend.

Just looked at the Tona Pop today. Close to the purchase. Nice looking board. Boots or straps?

No point getting a wake style board if you are gonna ride straps.

I have one of these babies (Nobile 50/50). I love that i can remove the fins and put em in my pocket mid session.

Don't know how they compare as i've only had one other board, But i enjoy it.
