Out of the box this board looks sweet with its ultra thin profile & cool cammo graphics. I chose to set it up with 4 x 1.5inch Track fins to keep it straight. On the deck I chose to bolt on waffle glass fibre foot pads benieth wide adjustable straps. You have a choice of three longditudinal foot positions for each foot which are possible by the numerous bolt holes in the deck. Laterally you have a choice of three holes on each side of the pads, so there is literal heaps of positions to match your foot stance.

Ok the wind was not a problem with 20kts gusting 35, so getting up on the plane was never going to be an issue. For anyone who is not familiar with Woodmans Point's south bay, it's shallow with lumps of reef/rock beds scattered around which creates some fun little waves which when your timing is on can give some awesome down the line waves to jam off and tear to shreads. The wind is pretty much cross on and the water conditions were choppy...

As soon as I hit the water the board was easy to track upwind holding the line effortlessly. The board handled the chop making it a realy smooth ride on the way out. Transitions were positive, I didnt realy do many jumps during transition simply stuck with going into to them toe side and carving around. Switching from rail to rail while carving was so smooth while running down the line on many of the little waves that came through. Loading the board up for a jump gave huge amounts of pop. There was not one part of the session that I didnt feel in control of the board.

So in a nut sheel this is what I think of the best drive series boards, looks sweet with its ultra thin profile & cool cammo graphics, climbs up wind, maintains a faster average speed and grips the water through even the strongest of gusts. A realy nice board to ride...
