I reckon with a board like this you'd want to go the lowest volume you could reasonably paddle. For me that's the 5'9 @ 70kg
Too much volume can be a real b*itch when it's nuking.
haha we've returned to the volume surf v kite question. geez man your getting stronger your volumes lower than our last exchange.
your old drifter still going good but not enough for my paddle strength.
my interest is the 5'11" at 31ltrs probably a little much for nuking conditions but enough chest float for an old man.
what I really liked about the white noise was Darren Handley shaping a surfboard for kiting and the construction trade off between weight and strength.
very hard to get strength without weight, diagonal lay ups, eglass and epoxy pretty good trade off, it won't make the board unbreakable but will make light enough to surf.
been disappointed in the production kite/surfboards not keeping up with surfboard design. my airush compact is bullet proof and high tech in construction but doesn't surf like my banged up old drifter.
Still keen to hear from white noise owner is it as ben w says? Is it similar in weight to the drifter, mulcoy or rawson?
