I didn't get to fly the 11 today but I did have a good suss...
The kite is very well made: seems are proper; leading edge (LE) is well beefed up at the points of dramatic curve (ie. where the stress is), the canopy looks like good grade spinnaker cloth, there's a modicum (I would have used a tad more, but there is enough) of reinforcement to the canopy attachment seems, and the all important dacron to canopy joiner runs along the full length of the LE, buffers are low profile for less line snags, rib ends are snag-proofed too, and the battern pockets are solid. It's all good stuff.
The bar is promising: Naish-like lines (red, blue and white), nice soft ends (to save your skull), some of the best floats I've seen, a big metal slug through the centre of the bar so your chicken line wont chew out in 5 sessions, the chicken loop is small so you don't have to be an ape to use the depower range, and the QR is simple and straight forward (as it should be).
All in all, it's as well made as most other kites and doesn't get stingey where it counts.
I did see it fly (but not fly it myself) in what wind was available, and it flew well. If I was to draw a brand comparison, I would say F-One. Today it was flying in nothing more than 10-12 knots but I could still see how much this kite will thrill... it's fast and it turns on itself, how, the trailing edge ailerons similar to an aeroplane. This is the kind of kite that will be fast enough to repond to thought... that is, you think it and it goes there.
To be truley fair, in a review, I would have to give it a good sesh in a combined environ and actuate the QR etc, etc.
My only concern about taking it out for a demo is that I might actually like it, too much, much too much... and I already have a perfectly good quiver of 07 kites... I'm safe though, coz kitecrazzzy has his grubby hands on it and I'm not likely to be around long enough (work) to match kite, wind, and location.

Why is it that talking/thinking about new kites is both exciting and depressing?
