God why? Just buy an electric one if pumping bothers you that much

More moving parts and seals to fail.
But hell it pumped a kite in like 15 pumps.

Yeah, I got 6 0dd year's out of my electric pump. Just needs a new switch now.
I'm sure that they are way cheaper than a manual pump long term and I never get a sore back anymore...

I don't think I could ever get 6 month's out of a manual pump before the seals went!

Serious? I get a minimum of three years on a pump, and I kite a lot. Not only that, our sand is super fine. Jervis Bay is known for it's sand, which is super static and sticks to everything. Get some silicon spray, clean out the piston chamber and then spray the seals.
I actually don't mind pumping my kite. Helps get me warmed up for a session. Mind you, I don't own a kite bigger than a 10 meter though. Back in the 17 meter days it was a pain in the arse. Those days are thankfully long gone.
