My Comments:
Ok so Sunday was crazy windy when I arrived everyone was packing up as the'd had a morning session before the wind really came in..
Andy boss was out on the 6m and I thought I'd take the 8m RPM for a spin. As about to put it up he came in and ofered me the 6m. I knew it was cranking but wasn't sure if the 6m would be enough..
On the heavier settings and wake style. I dove the kite instant power despite the fact he had it fully depowered. With the lake to myself I just went out and rode around finding the sweet spot pretty easily, ( don't give it to much front line, specially when unhooking) After about 10 mins was dialed into it and when the gusts were really up it boasted very impressively, bar pressure was just want i liked for a small kite, it loops insanely easy and when the gusts backed off I found it easily keep me planning and going up wind without effort or thought..
When I came back into the grass the boys said I really had some big jumps, yet I never felt over powered..
Great kite can't wait to get out on it agaiin..
ps water relaunch piece of cake faster and easier then the rev2 out of the water.
Unhooked raily to blind in about 28knots felt easy and comforatble..

Any advice you can give for a small kite to go with my 12 RPM. Really like the 12 and I would like a high wind kite to go with it. I am about 85 kgs and I was considering the 10m but would I be better on the 8m?

I ride an 8,10,and 12 but admit in the surf or river mouth absolutely love the 8. I'm 72kgs and probably ride the 10 most, but if its 20 plus or I'm on a down winder the 8 is my pic. Ive got all above sizes in my demo fleet so if your near noosa come and try or give me a ring for more info.

8M AND 10M RPM Are sweet but 8m felt like it only started working in 22knts

Fiona rides the 8mtr in 12 knots, I get going in about 18 or maybe a little less, but 22 is the sweet spot for it. Really enjoying it as the mid season release kite of choice. Been out in a wide range of wind and conditions surf/flat etc and have found the 12 and 8 combo NICE!

Our 9year old can fully depower the 8mtr in about 8-10knots and go for it without it stalling up which is awesome for a small kite. What's even better is it still turns easy with little bar input even fully depowered. This makes this kite ideal for your quiver when it is super gusty and your partner and kids can still use it when you have the 12 out.

hey, im 71kgs and looking at the rpms seeing as tho the fuels are out.... i ride a 129 tt and looking at a 2 kite quiver. any advice?

can any one give a quick run down on the RPM?
whats its target audience?
fuel/rev love child?

looking for replacements for the crap 09 rebels - do these fit the bill?

I've gone for a 12 & 8m quiver which should cover a huge wind range especially with a surfboard. I'm sure there will be in-between days but I have other kites and the low-end of the 8m is better than I expected. It is such a sweet kite and I've yet to use my 12m.

It really does have the direct feel of a C kite but you can depower it much more. They are high-performance kites, I wouldn't give one to a beginner. It really yanks if you throw the kite around. Gusts tend to get converted to velocity rather than bar pressure, which is great if you're happy with high board speed. This is especially true if you are unhooked, the bar pressure doesn't increase in a gust, you simply go faster.

I agree totally with simonp flew the 8m RPM absolutely awesome kite , with the 12m i have found it a bit harder to haul up wind than the 11m REV, not sure if its settings or technique but i doint usually have a problem .
