So, after chatting with Jas (WOK/WA Surf) we grabbed a North Surf chickenloop and fitted it to an Ozone bar. Why, you may ask? Well, I foil using a rope slider and didn't want to mess around with Ronstan rings and other gadgets to get unrestricted movement along the rope. The replacement loop took a bit of force to get the fixed end into place and the clock in end is a little fiddly to lock in as you have to push it in firmly and then pull back on it to have the cams lock into place (starting to be easier after just one session). Safety release is smooth though. Benefits - shorter reach to full depower, much smoother transition, no rings on ropes, less wear and tear on rope, no wear on CL and the movement along the rope is unnoticeable.
