I'd say there will be some whispers in the next few months, ozone tend to be a tad later than other brands, also certain models take priority over others, the catalyst generally is 1st to be released followed by reo and c4, with edge and zephyr towards the end, keep an eye on the euro scene to get an idea , or phone your local dealer

if they could do something transformational with the bar...
Ozone Kites Aus

Public release is the 1st August, its called Reo V3, because Ozone is moving to a version naming system for all their kites from now on. The next kite to be released after that is the Chrono V2 on the 1st September, more news about other models later.
The bar is not changing in the next 12 months, it is a very functional bar, especially now with the soft ends.

Ozone have a Just In Time (JIT) manufacturing facility they own 100% and business model. They do not release several new models all at once like many of the other brands, they just cannot work that way, if they did manufacturing lead times for dealers would blow out to months. The advantages are that they can make running improvements, and focus design skills on perfecting one model at a time, but with some technology and materials changes crossing into all models throughout the "version" cycles they now work with.

Every single kite is made to order for each dealer order, and you can even order custom colour kites via their website and send the design to your dealer, there is a small (approx $100) charge for this service. See this link, but its available for all models.

I wonder if going strutless or struts sown into the canopy would make better performance for drift, or more power = smaller kite for given wind range = faster turning, better drift charecteristics...

Current model reo is already pretty good, how much further can they tweak current designs?? Maybe exploration in different design ideas = improved performance goals??

Always look forward to a new model kite thou!

Or maybe they should play with sheeting in/out to allow a kite to purposely fly backwards so when riding side or onshore conditions, i can make the kite fly backwards deeper into the window whilst i bottom turn and hit the lip??
