My Comments: Hi guys,
I might renew my fuse 2013 which I am not entirely happy with especially in its low end 13/16 knts. It seems the kite start to perform well from 18 knots upwards and under that, it does not pull much and is a bit slow.
I´d like to know if anyone tried the rebel and evo 2015...in 11 or 12M and could give me feedback? I am interested in something that does not pull like a truck and still performs well in the low end.
You will find some reviews on both of these kites already written in this forum.
Not really sure what you mean by this - "I am interested in something that does not pull like a truck and still performs well in the low end." It's a bit on an oxymoron.
Both will have much better top end than your Fuse. The Rebel is more powerful than the Evo but the Evo is faster and more dynamic.
I have a 2013 evo 9M and I really feels it pull hard.....some time too much and in around 25 knots, i have difficulties handling it whereas am still ok and have still some depower on the fuse. hence my question earlier....want handle something that I can handle easily in its top end. thanks
I use a 12 M fuse.....not much low end but I can hold it fine on the high end. was looking at the evo 2015 but worried that it might be a bit too much if it pulls in teh same manner the 9M from 2013 does
I've ridden both the fuse and EVO. Think of the new EVO like a really refined fuse. Still solid on the bar but not as much as the old fuse. If anything it kind of sits between the rebel and the old fuse in terms of power per size. But you can feel the fuse in the new EVO for sure. But it ain't the fuse of you know what I mean and it's no longer trying to pretend to be the rebel either. The design change was a sensible one.
At 89kg the 2013 fuse 12mt is my go to kite, teamed up the the Monk. Have no problem at 15knots but anything less I don't bother. Mowing the lawn is all you do! have you checked that the bridle set up is correct? They had a few sneak through the factory that were around the wrong way. Mine was one of them and once I fixed it the beast was back. Low end and jumping was poor with the bridle around the wrong way. I have a diagram of the correct bridle position somewhere and will post it to you when I find it.
