My Comments:
I got to ride the 7 meter vegas in what I would call light winds for this kite + small chop - a couple of my friends were on 12 vegas medium depower to give you an idea. I set the kite up with medium turn and more power ( sit back in the window ). I blasted upwind even though at times the wind was perhaps only 15-16 kts, It was so good I didn't bother changing to the 12, and tried some mobes, loops and jumps. The kite speed and stability was good which is unusual in the smaller sizes, I couldn't really tell any difference in the bar and lines from the 13 apart from color and screw locations in the bar.

In my opinion the slow turn option goes with the wakestyle setting for unhooked moves, and the freestyle setting goes with either setting - fast if you want fast turning or slow if your getting nuked in 40 kts but want more depower.

one pump system, smaller battens, bag is comfortable, bar and safety leash felt good. Just need my 9 meter to arrive so I can try it !

I also tried the 12 meter on a different weekend, and it handled the gusty conditions very well ( 15 to 25ish - mountain breeze in the morning - up in the Gulf of aqaba ) smooth but instant power delivery, got some massive lofty jumps off the thermals, then I rode onto the beach and dumped the safety line and the kite landed perfectly downwind for me to pack it up.

I just tought two other guys to ride the vegas - one of them was holding his line on the second day, and the other guy is going upwind on the 12 both directions in the third day - excellent choice for anyone, it's all I recommend to the other guys
