Someone must have one I would also be keen to hear how the new evo flies, or have all evo owners now converted to the dice?

Doubt it, very different kites, but worth a thought. You'd miss the boosting (hang time more so) side of things, but that's about it.

Yeah I'm haning out for an owners review as well.

I bought a 9 and 12m from WA action sports (cheers TODD) and still havent gotten off this god forsaken rig to try them. Can give my first impression in a week or so when I'm back home Shane75 if that helps

Although looking at the wind in gero today 36knots I think I might be somewhat overpowered on the 9!

I took a 10m EVO for spin first time yday.

Overall i really liked it. Its flys smooth and is lot lighter on the bar compared to last years Evo.

This years Evo shape looks very different in the air, less delta more of a deep C with an intersting wingtip shape.

Boot in 25-30knts was big and its easy to pull the trigger without loosing an edge. Hangtime and boost is wicked i am impressed.
The kite loops pretty hard and the pop is alright. However, i wasn't getting any line slack which makes it hard to handle pass.

The kite handles being overpowered pretty good.

I wonder why North went from 5 struts to 3 struts. Kite was still advertised in the sales book as 5 strut kite?

Marvin I'm pretty sure it is still a 5 strut but the smaller struts are very close to the wingtip hence it looks like a 3 struter in the sky ??

But your observations pretty much matched mine. It's a great booster with some hang time for old school tricks. We found it Functional in the waves at best and you'd have to be a very decent rider to make it work as a freestyle kite to deal with that lack of slack. There's no easy' acceleration through the loops, but more than the rebel. Unhooked it was stable enough but the pop....again you'd have to be a good rider in good conditions to extract it. It all comes down to aspect and the flatter profile in general. To me it's been moved across into the freeride end of the spectrum compared to the older models which sat kind of in the middle between freeride and freestyle.

Guys You can't look at Tom Hebert and expect to be doing the same thing, (his ability to use it in all disciplines) that guy has been at the top of his game for years, even way back on the airush kites. Except if you want to venture into the low impact old school domain.

Only my opinion though of course, I'm always open to be proven wrong because I am keeping a good eye on this kite, after all I'm a old school throw back anyway.

Yeah thanks guys, I'm mainly keen because I updated my 12m to 2013 fuse run out sale but unfortunately there were no 8's left. I've flown my bro's 2013 evo and found it to be super powerful low end, extremely fast moving kite, not as good for kite looping and jumping sent you down wind faster with less hang time as apposed to my fuse. So I'm just keen to get comparisons to find out if it's more like 2013 evo or fuse.
Lol or do I go and try the Naish Draft out instead for jumping height/hang time

Shane get in touch with Caesar (can be found on the forum) a fuse fan and has ridden the new Evo. He made a post about ages ago. It's more fuse now than Evo if you know what I mean.

Nah all good, I thought the same thing when I put it in the air. Well in reality I shouted "it's got three fcken struts" someone got under it and said "eppo you've had too much personal fornication and have gone blind, there they are"....so as I said all good.

Shane75 sorry for the slow response.
I'm not sure if I can give you any decent feedback but I'll give it a shot. I have never ridden the fuse so can't comment there. Only camparison I can give is 2012 9m vs. 2014 9m evo. I rode the 2014 evo on the quad control bar both strapped in on a cab subwoofer and naish motion twinny in both flattish water and pretty solid swell in both reef break and beachies in Geraldton.

To me the 2014 feels more geared towards freeride than freestyle than the 2012. Upwind ability is improved but felt like the low end is not as good as before but definately still pretty grunty. Bar pressure feels lighter than the 2012. As for unhooked I can't comment. Kite soaked up the gusts well. As for steering the kite underpowered when in the waves it seemed a little sluggish but I am no gun in the waves and don't pretend to be.

Not too sure if that is of much of a help but there you have it.
