My Comments:
I just got this kite brand new and is a great kite, It performs well in the waves drifts down the line and very stable. The 2014 11m drifter is a fast kite it moves just as fast as my 9m with the 1x over drive contorl bar. Great bar for this year great idea and really works well when the wind is light and you only have to use 1 bar for most the kites in the collection. The graphics for this year really makes the Cabrinha kites stand out. The relaunch on the drifters is very fast and easy which is what you want for a surf kite to get out of those situations. This kite has great depower which is great for in the surfing the waves. 2DR is the material the kite is made out of this year and is very strong and hopefully will stop the surf from smashing your kite.
over all great kite perfect for the surf and very happy with the quality of the 2014 Cabrinha Drifter 11m.

Right on! I have been using the 9 & 7m 2014 Drifters for about a month. Absolutely brilliant. While my old 2012 Drifters were quick I have found the 2014s to be extremely responsive. I highly recommend.

Had nearly a month on the 11m Drifter 2014 now in a variety of conditions.

Wind range: The bottom end is impressive particularly if you are prepared to fly the kite hard, it loses very little when turned hard and so can be flown in relatively light conditions. The top end is good but not exceptional, as with most kites by the time you depower the kite the turning ability is compromised.
Relaunch: Very quick and easy. Rinsed the kite in small surf and it still relaunched very easily. If you do roll it through the bridles it's very easy to untangle as the front lines now join down nice and low where you can easily reach them.
Drift: I reckon it's great, doesn't seem to matter how poorly I kite I can't get it to misbehave. Not once has it overflown and it under-loops extremely well when you're positioning yourself on a wave.
Durability: no signs of any wear yet.

Overall I couldn't be any happier with the 2014 Drifter so far but I do put a great deal of emphasis on durability/reliability which of course can only be assessed over time.
