Yep fuse slash dyno, but do yourself a favour try and edge as well, before you buy.

Cool it doesn't bother me if they've stopped making them I specified those models cause all sizes on sale at my local spot eg $1360 for fuse 12m and $100 less for evo and then minus another 650-550 trade on old kites and the reason it doesn't matter is cause after 2-3 seasons I may look at upgrading and not just stick with north, also Dyno looks nice but its built to be light and I'm not sure if its as durable as the evo or fuse to take a constant beating over a few seasons

No worries, maybe look at the older rebel, not the 2013, a fair bit down on power imo from the 2011 and 2012, as mentioned the edge is a great kite for your wants and although superbly made imo its a bit light and doesn't like to be hammered around, this is where you'd be better with a fuse or rebel, also the mutiny f series is up there in build and performance,

I have been using 12m and 14 m Evos for last month from rebels and 16m dyno.

Style soul,surf. 85 kgs. Tropical.

Evo much better in turning speed so I would have thought better for tricks , less depower, sits back in window, more solid in feel, very well made , not quite as good at jump and float - its the design . Not quite as good upwind but not an issue ,

I like the evo. Suits my style more than the aforementioned. It's a more positive in feel compared to the rebel , doesn't have the sponginess -not sure how is compares to the fuse. Rates a look but is quite a different kite to,what you are comparing to. Specifically that the evo does not hunt into the window .

The 12m is a sweet powerful quick kite.

I now reckon the Evo is underrated as a good all rounder

Look this is the last time I'm gonna comment on this, I don't care so much for personal stats cause I'm not asking ppl to chose a kite for me, the kite doesn't adjust to you you adjust to it, same as buying motor vehicles you don't buy what your used to, you buy what you like and you adjust to it. All I really want is honest comments from owners of these two kite models and if you don't own one then don't F___ing comment gheeeez

Gets frustrating I agree Shane. Have you posted this on kiteforum as well? Even wider audience. You stil get the smart asses. Can you demo both because in the end that is what counts.

Thanks for the heads up epp, I'll also give kite forum a squiz then, yeah I've got two shops near my local one sells north/naish & flysurfer and the other does ozones/crazyflys/slingshots/ cabs and cores so pretty much all the majors covered here in bris only a month to go hopefully for new season to start so hence the reason for looking now and trust me if those edges you recommend came down to the prices Norths offering for 2013 gear I would demo, my goal is to get all new this time with top of line mystic or ion harness new board and 3 new kites budget is $3500 with trade of 3 kites and 1 board and with some love and care I'll get at least 3-5 seasons of bliss, p.s. too many to try hence my asking from other addicts of the sport cheers and happy kiting with not too many great whites this season

Shane, I have just got off the water after demoing the 2013 - 12m Fuse and the 2013 - 12m Evo back to back. Out of the 2 kites I prefer the Evo but saying that they do not hold a candle to my 2012 - 11m Rebel. I have tried the 2013 - Rebel and did not like it much.
I am 105kg and been on Rebels since 2008. I have my old 2011 - 11m Rebel and it is still a better kite than what i have tried of the 2013 North range (not Vegas as i have not flown this).
I am not a big freestyler though so you might like something different, go and try them out if you can. I will never buy any kite without trying it first. Hoping to test the 2014 - Rebel soon and see if they have got it right this time.

As a retailer we sell both kites kites mentioned in the original post, plus most of the other ones touted.
difference between the 2 kites are broadley

kite loops- Evo++
pop and unhooked - Evo++
steering precision - Evo+

hang time - Fuse+
Steering when de powered -Fuse+
sheet and go - Fuse+
Upwind - Fuse++

If you are are after freestyle/wake performance or are looking to put your riding style in that direction the the Evo is a good all-round kite with a bias to those disciplines. If you are just looking for a good all round freeride kite then the Fuse out performs it in upwind ability.

I rode both kites at the beginning of last season, because the evo had been a kite we hadn't previously stocked, but as i mostly free ride, the upwind ability alone made me change back to Rebel/Fuse.

The Evo is an easy kite to learn on moderate bar pressure so for a beginner its easy to tell where the kite is, and likewise when you progress learning initial tricks, back rolls front rolls, kite loops again its easy to work out where the kite is

But demo'ing is the only way you will find out what suits you, and suits the direction you want to head in.
