So i have an 8m rally.
Also have 6m, 10m and 14m RPM. Bundle of Joy, smile to my face everytime i fly them!>

Everytime i pull the rally out i straight away get frustrated. Feels like its 5 steps back in progression compared to riding my RPMS .

Im a bigger guy at 95 kgs, Feel like if im not overpowerd , i cannot generate any Power at all and i have to really work the kite. Ive had the kite invert on the lake once, A wakeboard boat picked me up with beers and girls ;).

Frustration has set in, i love the the kite really wanna give it a good go, ive had it since march only had 8m winds hand fulls of times.

I ride it 2/2 , Pumped up very firm so wind tips dont flutter. On the kite wingtip attatchment its on the middle bar pressure.

Any tips or stories from any other guys out there playing around with differant settings?? Gonna give it abit before i swap it out for 8mRPM

Cheers :)

have you checked the lines are trimmed properly it sounds like your back lines are too long.

Tuned an 8 for a local, from the beach you could see it wasn't set up properly, backstall and serges are a sure sign of it, he's loving the kite now

what are you talking about?
you have 3 RPMs that you love and a Rally that you dont

sell the Rally , and buy an 8m RPM
Why is that so difficult??

Not difficult. Yer im trying to sell it now. Money doesnt grow on tree's either.

But wanted to give the kite a chance as i said in my first post and was seeking options to play around the the settings and lines and was hoping
it would change its characteristics. Not much luck, i think my weight influences it heavily since im beefing up (98kg) and riding it in gusty conditions.

Does that answer your question- what am i talking about daggy

1 - all slingsluts fly with the same type of bar ... except for the diesels
2- rear line setting on the kite should be either on the end loop or 2nd loop on the kite .... - bar pressure
3- set the kite bar steering lines to the last knot away from the kite
4- set ur power lines either on the last knot or if still overpowered can set them to the middle ..... seems to work better for me, this also goes for the rpm's
5 - trim strip must never be full out that u cannot grab the trim handle... always have it a little trimend ....
6 - ensure when u full push the bar that the back lines r slack line a c shape kite.

Rear lines 2nd knot. Front lines last knot. Im 95kg and got the 8/10/12m Rallys. Love them. Try that setting. Should be heaps better.

40 gusting to 60 today....Tried that setting out today and also moved the attatchment setting on the kite to the most bar pressure.

Big improvment thankyou for your advice. Was no wing tip fluttering and the kite was much slower through the window which i prefer.
