Hello i was wondering about the low end of the kite. At the german site i can see giving it 11 knots. for a 80kgr person will it be able to deliver at 12 knots the power with a 136x40 board ? I am well exerience with low wind (able to go with my zephyr at 7 knots )

have anyone tested any of those ? are the numbers correspond for the kite (assuming 75kg rider)

Hi Adrood,

The low end statistics off most company websites are a little ambitious in my experience.

Add a knot and you should have a realistic bottom end. Too many variables to say for sure but it would be close.

Cheers,

I actually found the GTS's rating a little conservative. If the site says 12 knots, then 11 will probably do (assuming you set all the bridle options to suit light wind). I would say their ratings are when the kite is set on the bridle default settings.

Hi mate,

the ratings on the core website are spot on if you are efficient with your kite!

Intheloop 1000 thanks for me. i am very efficient when it comes to create apparent wind. Thats very very good news for me to hear .
Wisha when you say about bridle options you mean the knots on the front lines ?

i like to fly my cores (had xr , going to gts for more freestyle feeling) light bar pressure and the back line at center . Can you explain a bit please when it comes to lower end how they affect it ?

You can bring the front line attachment towards the middle on the leading edge, then use the shortest knot on the rear lines. This will increase your bar pressure, but maximise the low end. Try just the rear line knots first, the leading edge change will just give you a bit more up wind ability. For normal every day riding, I think the default settings are the best.
