Id like to thank Steve from Fluid and James from Alliance Gear for sending me the new 2011 Fluid Vice. Iv been riding the 7m, 9m, 11m and 13m over the last few weeks and couldn't be happier with the kites. Have also received positive feedback from other kiters on the Look, Build and feel of the kite. There are 3 colour schemes;

(White/Black)
(White/Red/Black)
(Red/Black)

First things noticed when unpacking the kites is that they have been made very rider friendly with features such as a single pump system with a high volume Inflate/Deflate Valve, the kite tuning options allowing 3 turning speed settings on the trailing edge and on the leading edge giving the rider a choice of a high depower (HD) setting or a pure C (PC) setting. These Settings have allowed the kite to be ridden by intermediate to advanced riders also allowing it to be ridden as a 5 line (standard) or 4 line kite with a few simple adjustments to remove the 5th line.

The Vice has been well designed both cosmetically as well as the way it has been built, Having Bump pads on all of the common wear points and a Dacron trailing edge panel.

The Bar comes in 3 sizes (45cm, 50cm and 55cm) It is straight forward, It has a simple Cleat system to depower the kite and Stainless Steel swivel system to ensure no twists through the lines. The chicken loop has a easy to use “Push away” Quick release and a removable “Donkey Stick” depending on the riders preferences. The Bar itself is fiberglass and has a tapered aluminum centre.

I have been riding the Vice on both 4 & 5 lines with the relaunch being simple. On 5 lines the 5th line makes it easy and on 4 lines the use of the stopper balls on the steering lines make it simple to pull on and reverse relaunch the kite.

The kite will suit everyone who rides Freestyle/Wakestyle weather your Unhooking, Jumping or Looping. It can be tuned to turn on a dime or slowed down to suit your riding preference. It gives plenty of pop when unhooked and slack when passing the bar. The bar pressure is fairly light and works well and matched perfectly to the kite.

Overall a great kite and highly recommended
