Heya,

Looking for advice on what kite I should get so I'll value any comments from riders that have tried these kites or went through the same dilemma.

I've been riding Crossbows (13m recently) for bout 5 years and comfortably doing biggy airs, back and front rols with grabs etc. Looking into moving to a faster kite this year so can get some unhooked action going and eventually kite loops.

Due to the weight, I need more than 10m kite...

Demo'd Bandit 4 11m and Vegas 2010 12m last few weekends and loved'em. also had some time on rebel 10m (2008) and 2010 Switchblade 10m... All of them feel awesome ....

Help please ! !

rebel is an awesome kite in 2011 but for the kind of riding you want to get into go for the vegas

rebel 2011 is amazing if you like fifth line kites , cant comment on the bandit 4 but ive used bandit dos for years , amazing kites though they get over powered quickly specially in the bigger sizes . im on north fuses now 2011 and love them to bits ..

but at the end of the day if a kite feels good when you use it go with it ..

Thanks guys,

I hope I get to demo the Park 12 this week [}:)] so hopefully that will clear the problem a bit more. So far I'm leaning towards 12m Vegas or B4.

Cheers

Hey Dude,

I have the Park 10m 2011 and it is the cat's testicles! Super fast in the air - very powerful but at the same time forgiving if you mess it up!

I've tried the 12m Vegas and the 11m bandit and they were both awesome...

Not tried the 2011 rebel but everybody is saying it amazing!

It's a tough choice... Have you tried the naish torch? All the pros are riding them.

If it were me - I would go for the 12m Vegas!

Peace!

I'm 94kg and have a 12m B4. Am stoked with it this year. Great unhooking, smooth power and awesome floaty jumps and some of this biggest kiteloops i've done. If your after an allrounder and maybe a little quicker maybe the 11m. I'm sure the 10m is sweet as well. 11 years riding

B4..... all the way... haven't ridden Vegas... but I would say that the b4 is a better all rounder, unhooks with ease, big airs, kite loops are awesome, easy 2 use and a great wind range. Whereas the Vegas is a more focused "C" kite thus not quite as forgiving, wind range probz wouldn't be as good.

Deltas in general are hard to unhook because you never get slack in the lines which means its hard to do passes with them.
They loop hard and boost hard.
If you keen on a Delta with more slack in lines try the Core GTS.

Vegas has been very popular for a reason.
Rebel is not ideal for unhooking and freestyle.

Just go out and try them.

Strange......

I got a Bandit IV for the reason it is actually excellent for unhooking and better than nearly all other Deltas. The only other Delta I have flown that unhooks almost as well is the EVO.

I also own a Vegas so have flown both kites. They are quite different in their power delivery. Feel free to call me in the shop if you would like to discuss them in detail.

Thanks for input guys.

Even though I liked the Vegas a lot, I ended up with the B4. Was tossing between 11 and 12m but got the 12 at the end. Flown it yesterday in very gusty (18-28knts gusts) conditions and am fully happy how it worked. Can't wait for a good day to get out there.

Cheers

Wow you must have been going to the moon and back in that wind ! Have to agree B4 is a very sweet kite ! Only thing im struggling with are loops with it ....... finding it has a very wide loop .... any suggestions on how to get it a bit tighter ..... awesome when you land them ..... not so much when u dont ;-)
