just a bit of a reveiw on the zepher rider 78 kg board 138/44 ug first two times out 10 knts or less just planing and staying up wind kite turned a lot slower than 14 sb could not realy boost or do much at all today 11/14 knts a different story kite was great turned as fast as a 14 or better very stable
no problem getting good jumps back/frontrolls nice hangtime changed boards 135/41ug heaps of grunt stiil pulled smaller board up wind no problem bar pressure equal or a bit less than 14 sb self landing /launch no dramas did find in lighter wind kite did tend to drop out alot had to pump center lines to keep flying have not used depower as yet so have no idea how far i can take it knts wise as far as build quality seems as good as any other kite out there to ride in 9/10 knts i think you would need a big ass board to have fun but would reccomend this kite to any one looking for a lite wind kite cheers leigh

Hey Leigh,

If the WA summer continues on at this pace, I think we'll see a lot more Zephyr's here too

Awesome kite!

Yesterday afternoon I saw a guy tearing upwind fast on a zephyr at the goldie! I sprinted down the beach with my harness on (upside down) and asked if I could have a go. This thing is a beauty! It was hardly even blowing (12 knots max, no whitecaps, people lying on the beach not getting any sand in their eyes etc)

I'd been flying a ten all week so it felt slow, but the power is phenomenal, it doesn't jerk either, its like hanging onto a mack truck which has been pushed down a steep hill and you gradually go faster and faster and faster!

I flicked it backwards as I went up a little rampy wave and stayed in the air for much longer than expected!

I'e also had a go of the 16m crossbow which is nice but I prefer this ozoney, what a cracker!

also noticed that it is super stable, it just sits there completely still while your riding, very peaceful!

Hey Wishy, I know what you mean, we are all learning to like this big monster truck kite here in Sydney, becasue we are getting a lot of sub 17 knots days, and this kite is so sweet between 10 and 17/8, although I reckon the top end for a 75-80 kg rider is approx 20 knots+

Here are some pics of our KP custom Zephyrs which arrived during the past week.

This looks like a great (read: tax deductible) way to promote your business! there is always traffic on that road along the bay, and the zephyr can get a lot of hours on the water! How much extra would it cost me to get a zephyr with my company logo on it?

Had a couple of good sessions on the Zephyr now and very happy with it.
Great light wind machine (about 3kts more bottom end than my 14m 09 HP) and literally having a lot of fun in 12kts. Would it go earlier than an a foil - I would say no but the benefits of having a LEI imo far outweigh the extra knot or two bottom end. On a normal board (135x41) and at 90+kg I was smoking along in 11-12kts and small jumps and rolls etc were easy.
Jumps are as you would expect, medium high and very floaty. It is a park and ride kite but it also turns nicely for such a big kite - I would say a fraction slower than my previous 14m kite. Under loop jump transitions are fairly comfortable.

The kite and bar itself look fantastic build wise - not overdone and not underdone if you know what I mean...... The presentation and extra spares kit etc are excellent - better than any other kite I have seen on the market.

This kite is going to be with me for a few seasons as my goto kite for 15kts or less and looking forward to those big surf days when the wind is only 12-15kts which we get so often. This should be great for that.

The only thing I don't like is the one pump setup - waste of time and slow for pack down. The bag also has a strap and buckle closer where a simple draw cord would have been better. Other than that I give it 9/10 for sure.
