Hey Guys,
The GT is a two year duty cycle kite and to my knowledge, Core are the first to operate with this philosophy. There is no planned extinction date of the previous model, they stay in production until they feel the next new design is ready to be released and has passed thorough testing.
The idea of pumping out kites every year regardless of ready or not is absurd and the sooner other kite manufacturers accept this practice, the better off we the riders will be. Think about it, they release 4 models each year with 8-10 sizes per model. Are they all tested and honed to perfection? or are they scampering to try and keep up and release stuff as it's date arrives, not necessarily when it is ready

The manufacturers will have proper time to test their prototypes and make sure each size is perfect, make sure no inherent failures occur within the first few hours of flying and can make sure things last properly. Lets face it, just about every manufacturer has brought out lemons in the past which could have been avoided if they had had a few more months to develop and test the little things. We'd all end up with better products.
Ozone are also following this philosophy with some of their new kites. This is smart!
If bar pressure is a problem, look at the new Core Riot XR.
Of course we have demo's available every day.
Cheers,
KH
