I tried a 2010 Slingshot octane today and had a ball. As a novice kiter i have never riden a kite with such a smooth ride as this. I have tried alot of kites lately to find one right for me and this seems to be the one. Can anyone who rides or has ridden one tell me anything thats not good about them. feed back would be appreciated.

my mate just bought a 7 and 11 octanes 3 weeks ago from KP in clontarf QLD.. He rates them highly for surf.

I had a strap on his 11 and found it to be nice... Not as nice as my wainman smoke 9mtr though.. My 9 craps on his 11 both in turning and speed in a straight line..

try a wainman and you wont look back.. I did and it rocks hard.

Fly Griffin exclusively; used to fly Naish and Best

Jas; If you liked the smooth power delivery of the SS...try Griffin. The Argo is unbelievably well behaved and stable in the surf, and the Griffin itself is really high-performance. The beauty of both is that the power delivery is super-smooth. The Bests are either on or off in the power delivery stakes, and the Naish was good, but when parked wanted to go low... The Griffin works up; it doesn't want to drag the wingtips all the time...

Yeah sure, seen the Griffin, they make a nice copy of the REV / Octane. If you havnt got the cash for the real thing....
