Finally I got my first kite and what a dream it is to fly it .Basically it flies by itself just dont stand in its way.Today I had my final 3rd lesson and afterwards I could ride as long as I wanted- 5 hours in total. The wind was only 12-13 knots but I could ride my Protige138 * 41 without much problem ,though one way only the wind was crossshore and it was too hard for me to change direction. My weight 80 kg. If You think about buying first kite I strongly recommend BEST WAROO.

Geez, you must have been miles off shore if you rode for 5 hours in one direction!!!

It's great to let people know what you thought about your kite, but I definately wouldn't be making recommendations just yet, someday after you try other kites then it's best to let everyone know what you think.
Not trying to be rude or tell you what to do, but you've only just had your first propper ride, so don't think you know it all just yet^^^^^, .

Its true I know very little but I HAD 3 diffrent kites in my hands already and I can tell the difrence even with next to nothing experience.Besides that only an opinion for you such kite might be of little value.

I've ridden plenty more kites then the REV, I don't even tell people to get a REV!....and it's not my first ride on the water.

Well sorry mr. professional that can fly 3 kites at the same time. jks.

If you like the WAROO and it suits your riding style, then that's a good choice.
Keep practising mate!

Maybe the 09 Waroos are designed to fly BEST in one direction only? Like a directional board.
Seriously you can`t be recommending gear after your third lesson. There`s enough pimps on this site to put up with who think they know BEST which is the BEST gear to buy. It`s like saying wich is the BEST car to drive? Different strokes for different folks. After a few seasons of flying kites, domo`ing different kites, then I would maybe give my recommendations. That`s my BEST advice.

They say subliminal advertising works.

Thanks for advice toppleover but this is what I was doing for the last year. I didnt havetime to start kiting but enough time to go through plenty of details in that respect. Not only on this forum . I was especially intrested in feedback from the people who just got into this great sport and my post was aimed at this particular group andmarked as such . All others with some experience or professionals like Aden for example should not even look at such post let alone waste time to comment.I belive that beginners need as much info as possible and more.Noone will make decision on one recommendation it took more than a year to make my choice of equipment. To stir things even more I HAVE one more strong recommendation.NEVER start your lessons without flying 4 line trainer before ,.its absolute waste of time and money, note it doesnt concern very gifted people. Personally I did fly such kite for about 15 hours.I still do occasionaly landboarding on 2 m Fusion its simply fun and doesnt require such time investment as kiting- another great way to prepare yourself for big time. One Ozone 1.5m trainer Im happy to give away if someone intrested, its in brand new condition since I switched quickly to 2 m Fusion for landboarding.cheers
