Carbine he is obviously new to the forums and has has asked a perfectly reasonable question. If you don't want to answer his question then DON'T ANSWER IT, otherwise shut up and don't be so rude! Mitch the Waroo is perfect for beginners and with a 135 board you should be right between 12 - 20 knots when your beginning up to around 25knots once you get better.

Wonnakite - the 07 Waroo is a great kite for a beginner - I bought a 13 second hand on SB and had my first ride on it today. Im 83 kg and flown a few kites before. The Waroo is stable, doesnt flutter or flap, had me going up wind in 13-15kn on a 133 twinnie. I guess the 13 is a bit slow on the turns, but it is a big (and poweful) kite.

One thing I would mention is that the relaunch is a bit harder than say a true bow kite or a rev. I had a bit of trouble today but the wind had droped to 11-12 kn and I think thats what made it hard.

Stable, very smooth, lots of power easy self launch and land, and best of all - (no pun intended )an absolute bargain at $500! - I am absolutely STOKED with this kite and was hooting and punching the air today.

The only negative is the quick release - the design is sh1t impossible to reset in the water getting pulled - and it doesnt flag out - check out the rev

other than that cant go wrong

PS. I couldnt find much in the 'search' as I think the 07 waroo came out at the end of 06 and the posts dont go back that far.

hey mate
my kiting mate james rides a 07 11m waroo pro, we are both 60kg and being 16 he bought a 2nd hand waroo pro 11 in great cond. i had a go in 12-14kts on a 130cm board and was absolutely hooking along. i must admit the kite is a bit 2 big for him because at 20+kts we both can barely hold the kite down let alone try to ride it on water even when almost fully depowered. there are a ton of 9m waroos(try to get 07,08) around especially on this site and i think that would be a much better size. with that said being a lighter younger rider in this sport is awesome and with an 11m kite with small whitecaps around when everyone else is tossing up wether to go out it is a great feeling to be able to have 11 metres of SLE to fly across the water on.
so i think wind range for you would be 12kts-22kts ish but if you do get one please get a heavy wind kite ie 7m for the 22kts+ days because riding with the 11m at our weight is fun, but its a different kind of fun.
hope this helps, mick

mate it's easier to hold it down in the water!
That piece of ply or foam attached to your feet offers plenty of ressitance to keep ya kite under control
